Five Element Acupuncture treats a deep internal pattern to address symptoms.  It also gives clients a framework to understand the internal nature of their illness so that they can effectively understand, work with, and change their own energy.  Over time treatment yields not only relief from symptoms but an overall state of balance and well-being.

If clients want to further cultivate vibrant energy, qigong instruction is also recommended.  Qigong gives one the ability to cultivate and change their own energy and state.

When you have devoted your life to something for over 20 years there is a lot you can say about it. However, in the words of Frederic Chopin, "Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art."

So, simply put, what is it that has rendered my 20 years of devotion? I am helping to better the person. As a five-element acupuncturist my job has been to bring people into harmony with nature by looking at them as if they were a garden. In order to make the garden thrive one person may need more sun or another more water. When I bring the garden of the person into balance symptoms fall away and I am nourishing that person's destiny and increasing their potential to manifest in the world. Just as a healthy garden brings bounty to the earth.

As a teacher of Sheng Zhen qigong I am teaching the skills needed to knock fearlessly on heaven's door. All qigong builds qi, restores bodily grace and flexibility, and improves circulation. In addition to these physical benefits, Sheng Zhen qigong is designed to open the heart so that the practitioner can experience the world with oneness, understanding and peace. This contemplative aspect of Sheng Zhen shows the way to better the person and attain unconditional love.

What a wonderful life I have that I get to work in this way. I want to shout my joy from the rooftops. And when I do, I will use the words of the Sufi poet Hafiz, "Hey God... you better come over here and start kissing me."
