Five
Element Acupuncture treats a deep internal pattern. Using one of the Five
Elements it addresses symptoms, and also
gives clients a framework to understand the nature of their
illness. Once you understand the dynamics of your own energy you can effectively work
with it.
Five Element Acupuncture treatment yields both relief from symptoms and an overall state of
balance and well-being.
If
clients want a tool to cultivate vibrant energy for themselves, qigong classes are also
recommended. Qigong gives clients the ability to change their own
energy and state.

Kathleen has a Masters Degree in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University in
Washington, D.C. and a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from TAI-Sophia in Laurel,
Maryland. She has spent over 20 years working with clients. In addition to practicing acupuncture Kathleen has also taught various forms of qigong for the past 20
years. She is the former Assistant Administrator for Health and Healing at the world famous health
and fitness resort, Canyon Ranch, in Tucson, Arizona.
When
you have devoted your life to something for over 20 years there is a lot you can
say about it. However, in the words of Frederic Chopin, "Simplicity is the
final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes,
it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art." The Alchemy of Change is based on this simple idea: In order to change anything and break through the controlling inertia we simply must possess more qi than we currently have.
As a five-element acupuncturist I do this by
bringing people into harmony with nature. I look at at clients as if they were a
garden. In order to make the garden thrive one person may need more sun or
another more water. When I bring the garden of the person into balance symptoms
fall away and I am nourishing that person's destiny and increasing their
potential to manifest in the world. Just as a healthy garden brings bounty to
the earth.
As a teacher of Sheng Zhen qigong I am teaching students the skills needed to cultivate their own qi. Qigong builds qi, restores flexibility, and
improves circulation. In addition to these physical benefits, Sheng Zhen qigong
is designed to open the heart so that the practitioner gains access to the most powerful form of medicine we have, that which lies within us. Sheng Zhen
Qigong produces radiance, authenticity and invincibility in the spirit of the person.
Building and balancing qi gives you what you need to makes changes. Changing yourself changes everything.
Clients
seek treatment for a variety of reasons. Some want relief from health concerns
and others come for greater vitality, self-awareness and well-being. Treatment is based on the individual and their specific needs.
Five
Element Acupuncture helps clients change the primary energy pattern that
has been disrupting their health and their
lives.
Clients also have an opportunity to
cultivate their energy further by studying qigong which has been known for centuries to elevate
an individuals health to profound levels of energy, awareness and choice.
The Alchemy of Change is
finding that shift that enables each individual to reach a
state of vibrant health and sense of satisfaction in life.
